"Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building"(1Corinthians 3:8-9)

A SMALL BEGINNING

Perth Revival Church has a unique genesis and history. It also has a history that is rooted and founded in the work of the Holy Spirit and in the Word of God.  Perth Revival Church grew into an organized body of fellowship from a gathering of two families (Varughese and Kuganesan). They first gathered together on November 4, 2006 and then continued the fellowship all Friday evenings to sing a few Malayalam and Tamil songs and to pray for a while.

As days went by, more and more people joined them and it slowly took the shape of a home group.  In two years time, around 30 people gathered together all Friday evenings to have Christian fellowship. Few families felt the need for a church in this land based on the Pentecostal doctrines and with the taste and culture of our homeland. So they earnestly started praying for a Pastor. God did not make them wait for long. Pastor James John’s migration to Perth was of great relief for those who were longing for an Indian Church in Western Australia. Under the leadership of Pastor James John and with few believers, Perth Revival Church was formed on June 1, 2008 at Pastor’s residence.

The church was formed to provide Christian fellowship for those of similar Pentecostal faith. The aim of the church is to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ and to bring revival among the Christians, mainly to those who came from our own land. The group filed for incorporation and in February 2, 2009 the group was recognized by the State of Western Australia as PERTH REVIVAL CHURCH INC. with Pastor James John, Br. Varughese Philip K., Br. Sibi Thomas, Br. Ajith Philip, Br. Jithesh Abraham, Sis. Minu John, Sis. Sheela Varughese, Sis. Jessy John, Sis. Bency Abraham and Sis. Sheeba John as the founder members.  The current Board members are Pastor James John, Bro. Varughese Philip K., Bro. Sibi Thomas, Bro. Jithesh Abraham and Bro. Ajith Philip P.

GROWTH

By the grace of God, the church has been rapidly growing in size and has become a source of blessing to many. The Sunday worship has moved to Harold King Community Centre, Kelmscott and continues to have its worship service and Friday gospel meetings there. The loving and homely atmosphere and hospitality of the believers make this church a unique extended family. Children of God here are bonded together by the eternal love of Jesus Christ. Young or old, all feel at ease and at home in our congregation. Our Faith, unadulterated and uncompromised preaching of the word of God, equip the believers against the evil, uncertainty and hopelessness of this material world. Perth Revival Church is preciously holding on the Pentecostal faith and is passing it on to the coming generations.

The service is in Malayalam which is completely translated into English. Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English songs are sung during the service. The church which started in 2008, is growing and we invite you to be a part of it in experiencing and witnessing the mighty power of our Saviour in this perishing world.
